how come when i post in a thread or start a new thread the said thread doesnt come up in the new posts section?
checked my setting but am still none the wiser

because once you have read it, it disappears. If you click 'quick links' then select 'today's posts' you will see it in lighter coloured text

I use today's posts at the top right, guess its because you typed the reply so the software assumes you can remember what you typed.

I cant...thats why I use todays posts.......:D
