Wanted Nose and Tail

Im after the following bits for my 02 996S:-

Single seater tail unit with all the fittings for my 02 996s
Painted (White Number Board) Nose Fairing
Carbon Firber Air Tubes

I'll probobly end up getting the nose fairing sprayed but if anyone is flogging one email me. Has anyone had any trouble getting thier nose fairings off, took me ages at the weekend and the mirrors have some strange attachments to the fairing too, the manual shows allen key bolts but thats not what they are.

Im keeping an eye on ebay for the above mentioned items but ive been outbid so far as they go for strong money, sometimes not far off what they cost new.

The "strange fittings" have just had a lengthy discussion on another thread here. They are in fact called Torx screws, often used in anti-tamper applications. Any decent tool shop will have them available, no more complex or ethereal than cap heads (allen bolts) really. It seems they were (or were not) used at different times by Ducati. Some bikes have 'em, some don't! No problem really.

I think they're crap to be honest, handy for stopping tea-leaves from robbing them in a few second, but a complete ball ache to get off when you want to get the fairing off:mad:

Why not get a motograffix number board? give Lee @ Monstershop a call 01296 730391 he has lots of trick bits for the 748/916/996/998 range..

Ive managed to get a nose fairing (with painted number board) from Italy for £68.00 + £10 for post and packing, i did try one those decal number boards but it had more airholes than a hamsters submarine :eek:

Ive also purchased a singleseat GRP tail unit (£40 ebay) which is currently @ the workshop at my place of work being sorted, onces its done and my mate has it sprayed up i'll show the results here and if anyone else wants one making up i'll pass on my mates details :thumbs:
