View Full Version : My first Ducati

First of all i would like to say hi to all on this site. This is my first Duke a 2003 748s 3300 miles and i love it, sure its different to the 7 jap bikes ive had but awesome is the only word i can use to describe it. Now many questions will follow but this is my first. Apart from the clutch noise does the engine normaly make so much mechanical noise up to about 4/5000 revs. The jap bikes seemed quite by comparison?
Thanks in advance.

"bucket full o' spanners" is the phrase you want - yeh, they all do that mate! Welcome aboard. Where are you based? Newbies get to the bar - mine's a black coffee please. See you on a ride soon.

Welcome aboard mate!

As Pete says - They all do that sir! ;)

What you want is an open clutch cover, that'll drown out the noise of all those spanners in the tumble dryer :D

Hope to see you on a run soon!

Noise, what noise? Try earplugs and you won't worry any more.
I think I'll have another pint, that one from Foxy went down very well. (Is it just me going quietly mad here.....)

See you around Neil, Jan xx

Hi Neil, this is Paul we met at Rivy last Sunday. I see you made it to DUN, the better of the four forums out there. Mine is a pint of Lancaster bomber please.
