Rode down to the Italian Alps and then went off road, me on a KTM 950, Azzy on XR650, and Paul on a KTM 640.

Reached the highest off road track in Europe at a measly 9882 feet high, and did loads of good trails plus some stunning roads as well.

Azzy had 4 punctures and a broken chain!

Weather was unblieveably hot, reached 40c.

This first picture was taken in a tunnel which is nearly one km long on the way upto Mt Jaffreau, a world war 1 fort on top of a 9000 ft mountain.

The tunnel is only wide enough for 1 car, has NO lighting whatsoever, bends, dips down and if you look carefully, its flooded, its only when you ride thru in the darkness that you find the water is only 9" deep. The tunnel is on the trail not a tarmac road.

I took pics of the lads riding thru, they carried on and i discovered i'd left the lens cap on:mad:  so took a few more pics of my own bike there.

Then just stood there in the pitch blackness contemplating life. Some walkers came round the bend with torches. It was pitch black so they couldn't see me or the bike. I stayed quiet, then jumped out and went BOO!!!!!

Ze Germans were not amused at the English sense of humour.

Puncture number 4. Notice the nice HRC centre stand, home made screen, fur seat cover for numb bum, and out of sight block of wood on the exhaust to stop panniers melting. No expense spared:D
