Travelling to the NW200 this year on the 1198 and looking for info on what luggage options are out there either rack or panniers .
i could use the kreiga rucksack but reckon it will be to heavy and cumbersome.
now i have seen the ventura racks but has anyome used and can anyone recommend what is actually needed

I have a Ventura rack for the 1199. Works well, and I don't find it intrusive. I bought the arms and the low loop rac. I don't have the ventura luggage - I strapped my Kriega pack to it.

for the 749 I use the Ventura rack(sports) so you need the L-brackets (116) and sports rack (46) priced brand new from the ventura website
http://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/products/bikepacksystem.aspx
or could source them from ebay?
or even a ventura stockist ex display model?I got mine half price brand new off ebay as ex display from a shop)

I use them with the Oxford sports tailpack & panniers (also purchased half price in a sale on the oxford sports website) and they work a treat.

My solution was Kriega bags ( a 20L & a 10L) on the tank. Probably difficult to have both on an 1198, but you could always put one on the back.

Both bags:

Just the 10L:

I've got the Kriega setup 10+20+tank connection. I also useone of these I use on the 748, which works great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cERGbzFt_zY

You're welcome try them out......I'd consider selling them as well for a decent offer, as they may go on eBay towards the summer as I don't really need them with the Hyperstrada!

Teeny,

I can loan you a Kriega Tank and bag if you want to try it out. May even be up for parting with it!

Do Baglux do anything, pretty sure they will?? I have had one for my F4 previously and it was a good bit of kit.

Under the rear cowl is perfect size for an empire biscuit from Inveraray!

(sorry, off topic!)
