View Full Version : Nightmeet @ Hartside 12 August

31.07.2006, 10:21 PM
I've just added a calendar event for this one, its the second running of the Nightmeet in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance charity. Hartside Cafe is open from 10PM till 1AM!!

Its the same weekend as the BSB round at Croft so instead of spending the Saturday night in the pub or at the race circuit, ride out and support it.

Would be there except:
a) my bike's in with M&S AGAIN for them to have another go at sorting out my fuel leak, and
b) I'll have a visitor from down South who will sadly be bikeless too.

just got in, very good turn out, but there scary roads in the dark, one lad that was following us, grass tracked it and fell off, both him and the bike were ok tho.

[email protected] down all the way back, so mental roads in the dark and heavy rain, wasnt pretty.

so im cold wet, quick JD then bed.

nice to meet u again gizmo m8.

all in all a character building night.. heh

it was cold and wet Rob, I waited till about 12.15 just in case Pete showed but then headed down in the rain, wet roads, cold, soft race tyres, a headlight pointing into the tarmac as soon as i braked meant it took a bit longer than normal! section from Melmerby back to Penrith was a bit better being damp rather than soaked, glad to get home and warmed up, wished i'd been on the multi with its heated grips etc :) We could hear bikes going past our house till about 1.30AM. Hopefully it raised a bit for the air ambulance anyway.

aye, hopefully made a bit of loot. Aye bet u did wish u had the multi, didnt see your bike would of liked to have a gander.

Forgot to mention, there seemed to be an abundance of suicidal rabbits last night, missed 5 by mm, the sixth wasnt so lucky, I expected it too upset the bike more than it did.

RIP kamakaze fluffy one
