Well after tearing my Cartiledge 2 weeks ago it seems ive really f**ked my knee up, after going for a follow up check up on friday they have told me i need an op THIS WEDNESDAY to sort out my Cartiledge.

Who said Op waiting times were long???? Long Live the NHS !!!!:D

anyway, reason im posting this is i duno what to expect....

Theyre going to Scope my knee with a camera then grind the damaged cartiledge away, has anyone had this done???? what should i expect??

going in for pre-op in 7 hours time so should have my questions answered, .

Cannot wait as ive been house bound for 2 weeks because i cant bend my knee at all, ive built a massive pain tollerance.

better get to sleep !! nn

One of my colleagues partners and a friend of mine had it done about 8 months ago.
Had a brace on for quite a while and has just completed UK to virgin islands yachting voyage. So by all accounts it was a success.
There's no nicey nicey about it - he was in pain but painkillers helped alleviate it.
Best of luck Ian and see if they'll throw in a bit of plastic surgery whilst you're in there.
