yes it could well have been me :)
went somewhere in the lakes with a few gsuer? type ppl
had an ace day out
met up in consett, headed for hartside via stanhope
(lost a caliper bolt but we flaged down an AA man and forced him to fix it ;) he was ace ) errm had a coffee at cafe then (this is where its a bit hazey) headed towards penrith/ the lakes we came out on that road that goes past the hotel on the lake (of RTL fame)
errrm then i think it was somewhere called 'ard knot pass
errm then some town that ive been to/through before might have been Keswick ? Then on towards some valley, ive been there before an all camping once, there was some fell running even on or sumit.
We had lunch at a pub somewhere which did the best errm lump of lamb type dish ever im not kidding if it had been raining all day it still would have been worth it for this meal it was very very very good very.
Then we went on this reet twisty single track road, maybe that was hard not pass ? ive no idea, which again was ace by this time the sun had come out propper.
(humm hold on i think ive mixed up the order things happened now, anyway)
Reet twisty road this bloke in jeans n boots on an L plate come wanging up behind us, he was pure class, i let him passed and eventually the car traffic let us all past and he cleared off on the reet twisty bits, he was absolutly kaneing it and had blatently done that road before.
Errm then we did some more road errm went past sellerfield and headed for buttermere ? and did hard knot pass ? with a slate farm at the top where they grow slate ornaments in fields(we only did hard knot pass once on this ride but ive no idea when)and had a coffee.
Down the other side and road up to a famous viewpoint on the other side of the valley ( on lake windermere ? )
After that back home (filtering) through keswick again, then just wanged it back towards penrith where i could have been spotted and home via hartside/stanhope

I've done it loads of times, both ways, on all my bikes - guess where the 1098 will get taken? What a great road. No, sorry, what a challenge!
