Presume that you are pleased with your new camera purchase then Ian, are these taken on auto or manual, very good either way.

Not full manual yet, taken using TV mode with my settings, which are obviously wrong if you look how dark the dog is !

So what is the craic there then, are the F15's American, they just seemed to be 'Top 'Gunnin' it up and having a play, whereas the Tornado was alot higher in the sky and really going quite fast !
All heading North so I reckon they would have been passing the over the Solway within minutes from where I was on the Kent Estuary / Morecambe Bay, unless they just went for a play in the Lakes - it was heading for dusk though so I hope they had their lights on !

the f 15s are american and probably the best fighter aircraft in the west for 20 years, they'd run rings round the tornado sitting still.

they will have come from Lackenheath or Mildenhall (one of the two) getting up to you only takes a matter of 10s of minutes!!!! and yes they would run rings around the outdated Tornado :)

the tornado would only have a chance if it hid behind a cloud with a very large baseball bat and hoped the other two blundered past without seeing it there, but it shows the pilot was game to have a go. his best bet would have been to take a hit at them from about 150 miles with his amram (not sure thats how you spell it) and then pee of rapidly in the direction of away:D
great to watch them flying like that tho:D

...and without sounding too much like an anorak; they are F-15E's (Enhanced Eagle) which are vastly superior to the old crates the RAF use!!!!! :)
