Yeah I know, they are cars, lots of motorsports fans out there so I thought peeps may like to see some fast things from yesteryear. What a fantastic weekend I had, really enjoyed it, taken over Sunday and Monday at the Oulton Park Gold Cup weekend.

Got loads of it, in fact I don't think I have posted its best angle, pesky marker cones were everywhere so made it difficult to get an uncluttered shot, my goodness it sounded good though, last time I heard one of those it was dark and snowing and we had walked for hours through a forest !

The RS200 was an amazing car, even if was made up of Sierra parts! Had one in the showroom of the local Ford dealer I used to work for, and the local TVR dealer has got one. Only ever saw three on the roads mind they are that rare.

Love the Alfa Sprint Giulia gta. Always wanted one of them. The car parks were great to have a mosey around as there were all sorts of interesting cars. 3 old Honda s800 that were almost pedal car in size. My faves were the MK1 lotus cortinas in the paddock and the Jaguar C type just parked up as if it was just any old car. A very nice original 246 dino got my attention because it looked so original and unrestored with a few minor dings and scrapes that to me made it look better than one in show condition. Good day out and will go next year.

Never saw the Bentley but have seen it a few years back still covered in Le Mans flys and dirt. Awesome!

That sticker on the Quattro reminds me of when I was teaching. I had an A0 poster on the classroom wall of the Pikes Peak car in a high speed four wheel drift (yep), shot taken from a helicopter with the usual crazy drop background. It got the kids talking when I told them it was my dad driving!
