can any of you camera men tell me what the difference is with a 400d and 1 that says rebel xti ??? im confused.

Rebel is usually the US equivilant. Ive got a Canon Eos rebel f2, which is actually an EOS 1000

Rebel XTi is the rufty tufty yanky doodle down with it exactly the same model as I understand it :cool:
400d is a UK model, I think the Rebel XTi comes in Silver and black the 400d just in Black - could be wrong on that one, either way get the black so the battery grip that you WILL get, matches ;)

I've got the Rebel XTi, exactly the same as the 400D only differences I've found so far are the charger being a US one, I bought a cheap UK charger off Ebay (mains and car charger) for around a tenner, and the date format is US not UK so month/day/year
