Bit of an early Floyd fan myself, I was about 5 or 6 when my Mum and Dad came back from Makro with the Relics (early compilation album) and after having never heard anything much except Tom Jones and suchlike it was an eyeopener to say the least. The next trip to Makro saw them return with an early T rex compilation and that was when my interest in Music began. Some 18 years later my band did a gig with John Peel and all we asked him about was Marc Bolan (very interesting tales) Funny how early music experiences change and shape your future. Liked all the Floyd stuff up to and including The Wall but found it dull after then when Roger Waters had left. Would not even see them for free without him.

I have always liked PF, saw them live at Leeds uni which was an excellent gig and the Roger Waters 'in the flesh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Flesh:_Live)' 2 cd set is excellent too. He uses a few musicians that Eric Clapton tours with and has on his albums too.

the clash had one maybe two good hits the rest of the time they were a bit overrated, the acceptable face of punk for the middle classes really.Pink floyd, there hasn't been a word made in the dictionary to describe them.ooops i missed out the words how vastly overrated, in that sentence.
oh wow floyd do 15 minute guitar solos and one of them wears a cape.feck of back to your hippy mates and die to the sound of drum solos you floyd loving tossers.
"but gordon, how can you say that" "they did a song about a wall" middle of the road tosspot sh1te, was then is now.
hope ive not offended anyone again:D
