Just remembered this is on in an hour and a half, might be a laff:rolleyes:
Feature-length final episode of Ricky Gervais's hit sitcom. Andy Millman is now a big star with a hit TV show and a home overlooking Hampstead Heath. He's even managed to get shot of hapless agent Darren Lamb. But it's still not enough. Meanwhile, his best friend Maggie's luck has gone from bad to worse - she's living in an even smaller flat than her old one, and is doing cleaning jobs to make ends meet. Beyond that, plot details are being kept strictly under wraps. However, whereas the previous two series relied on the odd guest star or two in each episode, Gervais's swansong features a galaxy of stars, including Clive Owen, David Tennant, George Michael, Gordon Ramsay, Jonathan Ross, Vernon Kay and Liza Tarbuck. With Ashley Jensen, Stephen Merchant, Shaun Williamson, Shaun Pye, Gareth Hale, Norman Pace, Lionel Blair, Dean Gaffney, June Sarpong, Lisa Scott-Lee, Chico and Guy Henry.

Today on BBC 1 from 21:00 to 22:25

What makes it funny for me are the embarrassing, cringeworthy and 'blackboard squeal' things that he says. He is sort if taking the @@@@ out of himself. It's a bit like 'till death do us part' in the 70's

May be a sizeable minority Steve!
I found The Office made me squirm (so didn't watch again), saw him in a "stand-up" routine where I found him mildly amusing at points but then saw the performance at the Princess of Wales charity music "extravaganza". That must rate as one of the worst ever TV "moments" as he struggled to fill a 5 minute slot. He looked like a rabbit caught in headlights as he stared with a look of obvious panic (that wasn't an act!) into the audience with his nervous Hyena laugh and shrugging his shoulders and then when all else failed he did some "comedy dance routine". Mind the opener with him playing a guitar and "singing" was only slightly better.
After the ordeal was over he was described by the TV commentator to (think it was an American comedian) his guest as "the funniest man on the planet".
Just as well we all have different tastes!
