Thought this had come up before but can't find anything.
Looking at getting a printer that will print off good/high quality pictures from my digital SLR. Not bothered if that is all it will do as I have other printers that can do routine stuff. (Have used a HP photosmart 8150 up until now)
Suggestions/thoughts?
Many thanks.

I bought an HP2600n colour laser a little over a year ago, probably an old school mentality regarding laser v inkjet, but, I've got to say it was affordable, it's fast at full colour prints, it's got a ethernet port built in and I like the quality.

Replacement toner cartridges are a bit sore, but then, if you use it only for colour prints it's not going to hurt as much as if you use it as a general household printer (as we do).

Get down to PC World in Invernaewhere mate, they've got a sale on and I guess you could see a few samples before you buy

I use a Canon ip4300 and it rocks, A4 only though, cartridges hurt the pocket but I have to say I reckon I got nearly 100 prints before things needed replacing, its brill :)

Epson r300.
Bit old hat now but I think it is still around in it's latest model number guise.
Prints on CD's too, which is a bit of a bonus.
Carttridges aren't too bad if you get them in multiples from Cartridge Monkey.
Best results are from the heavier grade paper - 285+
