I like pancakes, I like crepes, I like Yorkshires (made reet), I like cooking
So I know the basics of batters and stuff.
Got a call mid afternoon in anticipation of a visit to wifes on Shrove Tuesday to spend time and scoff pancakes.
To make things simpler for daughter to make pancakes she said she was gonna get some pancake mixture specially from supermarket.
Conversation goes:
"They've got pancake mix here called 'BetterBatter'. Have you seen it and is it worth it?"
Using my reknowned subtle interrogation technique "What exactly is it? does it say anything on the container/packet"
Wife "Yes, it says just add eggs and milk"
Me: "So basically, it's just flour relabelled as 'BetterBatter' "
Wife "No, it's batter mixture that you add eggs and milk to!"
As I live and breath, I couldn't make this up.
