i did think about getting those when i had my 916 but in the end went for bar end indicators just to be a bit different. Just remember if you ditch the OE ones on the airtubes you are left with holes in the sides of them *i got a pair of carbon covers for mine*
If it Dosent rattle .....Somthings broken!!

Looks like there is no retaining bolt (the existing bolt hole being used for the wiring), so I'd be worried about the mirrors popping off.

    Just a thought.

On more searching I found the bar end indicators. Quite like the look of them.

Also a post that said the yellow did not match perfect. A slight discolouration.

I had bar end mirrors on mySS but found you have to look further away to see them than fairing mounted mirrors. You can cover one hell of a lot of ground in that time! Went to CBR900RR mirrors.

Quite a selection of bar end indicators on Ebay and likes of Busters from 10 upwards.

If you get double sided ones you could get rid of the rear indicators which might solve your other problem.

You guys both said bar end mirrors.

What I am keen on is getting rid of the front and rear indicators.

    Front. Bar end Indicators
Rear. Integrated brake and indicator unit (in the existing squares)

    = Cleaner racing style look.

And a much open rear end.

It was Serious Black's fault... I just copied him!!

Read "indicator" NOT mirror and it makes sense.

Get the ones I mentioned and you don't need rear ones which gives you a much cleaner tail if that is what you want. Also avoids the "E" approved issue.
Just fit LED tail and stop light. Cheaper, cleaner and fully legal.

    Does that help?

These are the ones wulfie mentioned on the bike I bought from him. LED lights on both sides, a very firm fit in the bars and they're very bright too.

This is what you need to adress or put up with once the stock indocators are off. (i don't mind them and still might go back to stock)

This is the R&G tail tidy, I think it's really neat but the other generic cheaper units you looked at would do the job just as well.
The small indicators are barely noticeable and don't really stick out much.

Might take a while to get the pics but I finally got them up for you.

No direct experience of them but a mate of mine has these and whilst they're made pretty well (almost OE apparently) the LED's are not very bright and are angled downwards to effectively dim them further.

    Awesome lads, thanks a lot.

    Tail tidy is also tidy.

Think I am going to try to get away with the one set of indicators on the bar ends and see how I get on with MOT's and such.

Might not bother with LED brake lights, if the integrated units a no go.

    Cheers again. Much appreciated.

If only we could shift the number plate now. LOL.

I like the idea of the indicator built into the tail light but I have my doubts as to it's real world practicality. Will car drivers notice it? I have not noticeced the indicators blinking on newer VW Golfs with the round tail lights so it may be a problem.

Mind you, most car drivers are blind to bikes anyway so the point is probably moot.

I'm looking for a combined mirror/indicator for my SS if anybody has any tips. I have a race fairing that will be fitted with a single projector type headlight which should clean up the looks quite nicely. Will be watching how things go with the combined tail light.
