    Default 999s coil slightly corroded

Hi guys me again. Went to change my spark plugs for iridium ones. Coil shaft is furry (slightly) corroded. What's best to get this off or better just leaving it. Cheers jimmy.

Give it a light rub with a kitchen scouring pad then apply a light coat of ACF50. When installing the coil apply a liberal amount of silicon grease or vaseline to keep water out.

Old enough to know better, young enough not to care

    +1 to Derek's advice

The horizontal cylinder will always be prone to this. Keep on top of it and the coil won't get stuck in the bore due to excess corrosion.
