I don't know if its because it is split but you get NO light on the ground in front of you at night.

Looking at the obvious first, is the headlight aimed correctly? When I got the MTS the headlight was nearly pointed at the stars! I wondered why the light in front of me was so poor and lots of oncoming drivers were flashing.
If the problem is poor headlight design there's not a lot you can do. Fitting brighter bulbs or HID won't help much if the light doesn't go where you need it in the first place.

Trish check out this thread, I know it's a monster but you get the idea. Follow the link to the light company as well for different styles.

Ignore the style, check out the power of the beam for the size look on the website for different styles.

I agree it looks boggin and doesn't come anywhere near to being legal. It is main beam or nothing.

The solution offered by tapoutduke looks much better but will only fit a standard 7" headlight. You'd need to restyle the whole front end of the Diavel to lose the integrated headlight and fit a 7" round headlight. Although, looking at the parts list it looks like it might be possible to remove the complete headlight assembly and replace it with a conventional 7"shell mounted inside the headlight cowl but some sort of filler piece would be needed to fill the gaps around the headlight.

They have other styles too, if you read the thread he says on the first page he opted for 1 but you can use 2 with different beam patterns etc. Look later on in the thread and you see he has changed it again. Listed on rigid are lights for cars trucks boats atvs you just need to think outside the circle a bit to make some mounts, which is kind of what I hoped folk would see, bracket and powerful beam

They are all rectangular though Brian. This would be a far easier option and it dips.

Some of the Pani base owners are upgrading their lights to HID bulbs:

    http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...rcycle-HID-Kit

They reckon the 35W 5000 or 6000K are more than enough as the 55W may cause interference with the computer.

Plug and play. May be a cheaper option. I'll be fitting them to the Pani at some point.

Ends up looking like this (8000K):

Indeed HID may be an improvement. The ST4 lights were crap and HID improved them simply by throwing more light out. They don't help the crap optics though.

Why not try a set of these instead of changing the oem headlight, I've used them and they are brilliant, I think they are available in Led now as well which are even better.
The main uk importer is in Galashiels as well. I'll get his number if you want.http://trailtech.net/frame_clamp_lights.html
