Set off for an MOT at 8.30 this morning only to get a puncture on the front tyre ffs 10 mls doon the road on the A68 at Oxton. Phoned Jimmy who lives in Oxton and he picked me up in his van and drove to the MOT station Eclipse in Tranent. Gordon Brown allowed me to use the facilities to take the front wheel off and replace the inner tube which they also supplied. Bike passed with flying colours and big smiles from Gordon and Bill who loved the bike. Cheers guys!

Just back from the Pre 65 trial up at Kinlochleven, managed 1200 trouble free miles over the extended weekend.

Here are a couple of pics of the Hybrid in 1985 when there was a 441 victor motor in the chassis, I was up at Ploackton for a gathering to celebrate the life of a friend who drowned several weeks ago in the bay. An ex girlfriend of his had a few pictures she gave me from one of the many trips I had up north.



This was the donor bike I swapped a 5ta for, I had been refurbing the BSA chassis and picked up a 5ta rolling chassis so bolted in the Triumph motor that had been fitted into the BSA and put it through an mot. The guy could not get the BSA going so was please with a running Trumpet.

Anyone heading to the pre 65 at kinlochleven this year? I have diusted the wee hybrid doon ready for an MOT along with doing a couple of changes, lower narrower bars and an A65 headlight hopefully have the exhaust sealed as well. I had a few swaged ends pressed for the silencer and head to give a better seal on the headers and stop the popping on the over run.
