Not a good idea in my opinion.

Old enough to know better, young enough not to care

    Thumbs down 4 year MoT

Got to agree that its a bad idea.
After seeing the state of some cars after only a year on the road i dread to think what they will be like after 4 years ( scrappers?)

We don't have bike MOTs over here in Norway and if doesn't seem to be a problem. Indeed the EU tried to make yearly MOTs compulsory but the Norwegians argued that there was no evidence to say that it was necessary. To cut a long story short the Norwegians commissioned a study to find out. The results showed that if there was any trend then countries with MOTs on bikes actually had more accidents due to mechanical failure. The study was convincing enough for Europe to throw out the idea - at least til about 2025. As the EU have declared that they don't see motorcycles being allowed about then the problem may be moot. Why haven't YOU joined the BMF yet? (or MAG)
