Now that most folk will have their bikes back on the road after the winter lay up, this is a reminder that this event is open to all of you and you have until the end of November to do it. Given the level of interest when I first mooted the idea back in December last year I'm surprised by how few entrants have come forward. C'mon guys it's another excuse to get out on your bike

My bike is not eligible as only the wheels forks and brakes are of Ducati origen.

And what about the 600 TT, 600TL, M750, 750SS, Ducati 250 scrambler? Do none of them work?

A reminder to participants in the Desmo Challenge di Scozia. Despite what was stated in the Newsletter, entries must be forwarded to me by the 31st November 2017. This will give us time to organise any trophies by the AGM in February. So far I have only had 2 returns, one who has completed all 30 checkpoints and the other unfortunately only managed 18 because of a breakdown with his bike which is still not fixed. Both have said how much they enjoyed doing it.

Post Desmo Challenge di Scozia Awards

The closing date for submissions to the Desmo Challenge di Scozia has now past and I'm pleased to announce that we have 3 entrants who have achieved Gold awards.

Less satisfying though was that we only got 8 entries. I had hoped for a better take up.
Of these eight, 3 gained gold, 3 didn't manage to achieve enough checkpoints for an award (one was due to a serious breakdown of his bike) and I had no returns from the remaining two.

In view of the poor take up I have been in two minds whether to organise another Desmo Challenge for next year but those who took part and submitted returns expressed how much they had enjoyed doing the challenge so perhaps I should. I would appreciate thoughts and feedback on this.
