    Default Howdy from Aberdoom

Hi, Phil from the silver (rainy) city by the sea. Always been a fan of Italian bikes and a hardcore Gilera owner for many years, mainly Nordwests. I'm seriously considering buying either a Multistrada 1000DS or a Monster S2 M800 for no other reason than they look really nice and no doubt sound ace. I'm not sure of the pros and cons on these models but I'm very familiar with the unique qualities of Italian motorcycles so I'll lurk around here hoping to pick up any gen and advice anyone cares to impart, and always keen to meet up for a beer, or coffee, to blether about bikes etc.

    Cheers

I rate the 1000DS engine and heard good things about 800. The 1000DS Multis look good value....

    Welcome to the nut house.

Don't forget the ST range as well, Moster bike with a touring layout.
In Theory, Practice and Theory are the same. In Practice they are different.

Hi fellow Newbie - I'm seriously looking at the Multi too - the new Multistrada 950 is doing it for me. Need to save some before I can actually do that, but hey why not?
