Thanks again SDC for a great weekend.
Good company, good stories and a great wee ride out.
Ride home via Glasgow wasn’t the worst, Ride Mag recomended Gortex gloves were crap though !
Off down the Oxfordshire this week 23-24 c and sunny - perfect.
    Cheers everyone.

We had a really good time, the run(s) on the Saturday were just what i needed to blast away some cobwebs and the banter/chat on Friday and Saturday evening was its usual standard- lots of laughs and good fun to be had.
Thanks for a great weekend, really good company and thanks to the committee for all of their hard work organising it for us.

**the journey home on sunday was absolutely miserable for me. Soaking wet mixed with 10 degrees. I was shivering all the way from Callander to Falkirk, not helped by the motorway exit closed with a detour of about 15 miles extra and bladder bursting.
Top that off on arriving home my hands were so numb my fingers couldnt grip the door key properly and get it into the lock
must have looked hilarious to my neighbours though

Well there's not a lot more I can add to this, that's not already been said! Other than my thanks to the committee and off course everyone that turned up!! It takes members to be there too to make an event!!!!
Only complaint I have is it's over and as always the weekends seem too short when having such great craic!!! My best to yo all

    From Miriam over on Facebook

    "Hi all,

Last weekend Bert and I felt very welcome at the Midgie Mashers in Fort William. As non-scottish Ducatisti it was as we were among family.
We would like you to know that members of the SCD are always welcome to come over to The Netherlands and stay at our place. We are only 1 hour away from the Newcastle-IJmuiden ferry and from us it's easy to go all directions in the Netherlands.

Robbie Thomson has our contact details, so feel free to ask him and to come over.

By the way: in 2019 the 40th Ducati Club Race will be held at the TT Circuit in Assen. We don't have the details yet, but expect this will be the last weekend of may. If you want to visit this or even join one of the races, please let us know.
The Ducati Club Race is the largest private trackevent in the world and great to experience!

    Hope to see you again

    Miriam and Bert"

Thanks for that Robbie. It's good to see a write up of the Masher from an outsider's point of view in Miriam's rather quaint English.
Here are a couple of pics of Steve with his suits that she refers to. It still cracks me up every time I think about them
