    Default Ducati 750GT Electronic Ignition

Hi there, just tidying up my 74 750 GT in case we get a Summer, and thinking about fitting electronic ignition. Anyone recommend a system?
This bike runs on Dellorto PHF 30 carbs if that makes any diference.

    Hi Steve,

Two: the Pazon system or the Sachse system. Do an internet search and have a look at them. You won't believe the difference an electronic ignition system makes!

I'm not familiar with the Pazon but the Sachse system gets a lot of good reviews although it is quite expensive.

Thanks - will look at both. I did fit a Pazon system to an Ariel Leader a few years ago - worked OK but not quite the same thing!

    Default Ducati 750gt Electronic Ignition

    Hi

I have fitted both and in my humble opinion there both very good but if I had to choose one it would be the Sachse system I would use, thanks.

Hi - bought the Sachse kit, will look to install this weekend if I can decipher the instruction pamphlet and find TDC without breaking anything!

    Thanks for your help.

I fitted one to a Laverda a couple of years ago. It was dead easy. Getting exact TDC can be the hard bit, if there is no crank marking use a degree wheel and the piston stop method.

Finished the bike today, fitted the Shachse ignition and got the fin repair done by FD motorcycles - great job and turned round same week.Click image for larger version
