    Default New tank Respray.

howdy all again Soo my new tank arrived from germany this week and I thought id show you'd what ive done with it.

So this is how it arrived it was at one point a black metallic but someone had it sprayed silver by the looks of things this monster went on fire all the paint on the bottom of the tank was burnt off and there was smoke marks all over the sides, Lucky for me no damage to the actual tank at all just all cosmetic and a steal at 100Euros for a 1994 tank and also 15 to deliver it to the uk from germany

So inbetween jobs at work i prepped the tank and got it all sanded and rubbed down for some highbuild primer and then wet flattened that with p800 to finnish off.

From a distance it looks dark almost black when the light hits it and its this most vibrent cherry metallic red! Im loving it and I really can't wait to paint the seat & headlight cowels.

So thats it so far im not done with the tank just yet as it needs to be rubbed down and prepped again for the tank decals to be clear coated over Maaaaybe thinking of painting a black metallic stripe down the bodywork much like the S2R's but i dunno yet im still waiting on the decals to come so ive got untill then to make my mind up haha.

    Cheers Wulfie

The finished job Still waiting for the seat cowel and on a new fuel sender & new fuel cap to come in the post as the ones off the later tank are not compatable with the older style tank.
