    Default Sharing photies

OK - tried to share photo from Google. Obviously didn't work. So now have 2 issues: How to delete a post , and; How to share pics?

I don't know if you have discovered how to delete but I see you managed to edit your post. I'll send you the same PM about posting pictures that I sent to Stuart, although I'm sure you've posted pictures in the past

Maybe I should write "Posting Pictures for Dummies"?

    Default How to post photos

    I thought it might be best if I simply published a extract from the PM that sent to t-ripple-ate. So here you are;

You have 2 options, the first one is easy.

When composing a message scroll down the page below the box you write into and you will see a button for "Manage Attachments" (you have to be in Advanced mode, the option isn't available in Quick Reply).
A pop-up window will open containing any attachments you have previously uploaded and an button to "Add Files".
Click the button, choose the file(s) from your computer (it will let you add 2 at a time), then Upload. After a second or two the file will appear in the pop-up window in the "Attachments" box. Click on "Done" and they will be added as attachments to your post, showing as thumbnails at the bottom. There is also an option to put the picture "in-line" so that it appears within the post rather than at the bottom.

Name:	IMG_20180625_172816.jpg
Views:	7
Size:	149.0 KB
ID:	12118
The viewer will have to click on them to see the full size image.

The second option is to have your photos stored on an image hosting website. Many people used to use Photobucket but they changed the rules so that you couldn't share images unless you paid a $100 annual fee but there are others - Free image hosting
I use Google Photos because it automatically uploads photos from my phone which is handy but the pictures have too be in a shared folder or only I can see them.
With this method when you want to add a photo, have the photo displayed in a different tab or window of your browser. Right click on it and "Copy image address". Go to the message you are composing in the other browser window and click the icon that is a square with a tree in it.
Paste the URL of your picture into the box that pops up and click OK. This will create a link in your message that displays the image full size.

Here is one of my Pantah from my Google Photos

That's probably all as clear as mud but has hopefully pointed you in the right direction. Have play around and see how you get on.

    Howdy!

Flickr is my preferred tool of choice these days, it generates BB codes (amongst others) to insert here directly:

    WDW2012_Best-Of_065_1920x1080.mediagallery_output_image_[1920x1080] by iconic944ss, on Flickr

I dont particularly like the link and such at the bottom of each photo, so tend to edit it out.

Sadly, the structure of the main Flickr site, for me is a bit..... odd.

Timeline view is good though, so I can easily see that 6 years ago, I was: where I should be!

    Enjoy

Easiest way if the photo is already in your facebook is to copy the link to the image from their.

no need to have an account with flikr or photobucket, and google i find is impossible.

Am sure I talked you through the facebook thing a while back?

Well done Neil, although my browser shows Google as an image source?

Robbie - nice once, NEVER thought of using FB images, so....
