    Default XMAS Social In Dundee

I would like to propose having the Dundee Xmas social on either Friday the 7th or Saturday the 8th of December at a venue to be arranged but near to the City Square. Ill do the legwork but can you please give me an idea of whos interested so I can give the restaurant an estimation of numbers attending. Also, if you have a particular restaurant or type of food youd like let me know. Obviously, time is short for booking a table so please let me know asap.

Put me down for it Paul. It's good to see someone else proposing to do the organising this year, I did it for the last 4 or 5 years.
I'm happy to eat anything but prefer real beer

Yeefu...inhaaaa I'm home. Get me booked.
Meet place is fine but by then the St Andrews brew company will have opened so that's also an option. I am a vegan and cannot eat anything with pasta in it. BUT I suppose I will dig deep and have to grin and bare it for one night. Get me booked down for it. Yeeeeehaa a night oooooot.

Maybe we could eat something other than Italian! Any suggestions? We now have 4 so it’s a goer then. Since you’re the only vegan Chiz, where would suit you? I will be phoning to book a table on Thursday afternoon, so please, suggestions before midday. Anyone else interested or even thinking about going, please let me know that too. Cheers to all, Paul

I'll eat anything. A skabby donkey. Anything. I did not realise you would really think I was a vegan or hated pasta
Best italian in Dundee centre is ciao sorento. The Mexican across from the pheonix is supposed to be good.
Canny believe you thought I was a vegan

I am very naive and gullible Chiz. So, Mexican ok for everyone? Have to confess that I’ve never been to aMexican restaurant before.

I've never been to a Mexican either. I'm not sure that I fancy it but I'll give it a go.

Ok, table booked at the Mexican Grill 24 Castle Street on Friday 7th December 7:30pm. I couldn’t get in touch with one of the Mexican restaurants near the Phoenix and the other one is mainl a takeaway with adhoc seating arrangements ie can’t book a table! I suggest meeting at the Phoenix 6-6:30pm for aperitifs then making our way to Castle Street for 7:30pm. The restaurant website can be found if you type Mexican Grill Dundee into your browser. I asked if it would be a problem if there were more than four and was assured that they would deal with that.

The trip advisor reviews seem to be OK apart from one whos starter didn't turn up. Their Christmas menu seems to remarkably Mexican free but the Festive Night menu looks interesting even if a bit high on carbs.
