Dunkel, or Dunkles, is a word used for several types of dark German lager. Dunkel is the German word meaning dark, and dunkel beers typically range in color from amber to dark reddish brown. They are characterized by their smooth malty flavor.

Carole and I went to the Mexican Grill on Saturday evening and had a nice meal. Staff friendly, food appeared fairly quickly and the prices seemed reasonable. Only downside was that all the beers were in bottles, but there was a selection to choose from which included Peroni Nastro Azzurra! Mmm! Have confirmed our booking for 6 people at 7:30pm. Looking forward to seeing you all on 7th December. If anyone else wants to go please let me know, I’m sure they will fit you in.

Seems good. Pity about the beer though. I'll just have tank up in the Phoenix

Lindsay, not organised by me this year but see post #16 above. I have an event beforehand but should make it to the Phoenix for about 7.00 in time to get a decent pint before the meal
