    Default 1098s POOR STARTER

I,VE HAD MY 1098s FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND ITS ALWAYS BEEN A POOR STARTER FROM COLD ONLY. THE PLUGS DISCOLOUR QUITE QUICKLY AND THE DASH READING FOR THE BATTERY IS ALWAYS AT 11.7/8 JUST BEFORE IT FIRES, AFTER THE BATTERY BEING FULLY CHARGED. I AM GOING TO UPGRADE THE BATTERY LEADS AND PURCHASE A LITHIUM BATTERY. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD UPGRADE OR CHANGE. HA HA NOT TO A V4.

    NO NEED TO SHOUT!

There is probably more to it than the battery. If no improvement get back to me.

just fitted a new cheepo battery from my track-bike and it started first time. So i will give it a chance, before buying a lithium one. The bike has been fried a little thanks to the previous owners not getting the recall done. I fitted the new rectifier and heat sheild about 3 years ago and it helped, but might have over heated other parts. Thanks.

SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY, I HAVE A POWER COMMANDER FITTED BUT THATS NOT THE PROBLEM. EVERY TIME I USE THE BIKE I GIVE IT 30 MINS OF CHARGE AND IT STARTS FIRST TIME. 11.8v TO 12.3v. WILL A DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM PINPIONT THE FAULT.
