Default 2V Twin Ignition Pickup Setting & Timing Guide?

I've had a search around and can't see any 'How To' guides on setting the ignition pickups & timing, there's plenty of stuff on belts / valves but can't find anything on ignition. It's a 750SS motor, but am guessing it's the same for just about any 90's era V Twin. If anyone has any links they can share, it'll be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Maybe you should download yourself a workshop manual, they are readily available online.
This is the page for setting up the pickups.

    Thanks.
Yeah, that would be a good idea. Please can you post a link or point me in the right direction?
I looked on the free downloads thread but there were a lot to choose from so was not sure where to start.

I included a link in my post above if you clicked on online, maybe I should have made it more obvious

Checking the ignition with a strobe is in the Electrical section, page M12.

Many thanks for the expanded link Derek, the first link you posted did not show up clearly on my laptop so I missed it.
There seems to be a 'not found' problem with the document (1355) that you linked, at least on my laptop, but the document listed immediately below is the same manual as far as I can see and has the timing info on page M12. ->https://www.carlsalter.com/download.asp?p=1356
There's a difference in the resistance values on the pickups, in the manual it states 220 Ohm as opposed to the 100 Ohm mentioned in other places I've read and is what I read from my working pickup. From the ignition timing procedure, I'm assuming that the 2 marks in the first picture are for the idle advance & tdc, the single mark in the second picture is the fast advance? I can't remember what marks are on my flywheel other than the 2 dots and the pickup centre dots, I'll report back when I get the pickups replaced.

I've added some pictures from the manual, apologies if they're not in the right order!

    Thanks Again for your help.

Glad to see that you're getting there. Funny that 2 apparently genuine copies of the manual should give 2 different figures for the pickups, but that's Ducati
The dots on the flywheel are as you've figured. TDC, static timing and fully advanced.
