    Default front axle seized

Hi , I wanted to put new tyres on my diavel strada, simple I thought , back wheel off in two minutes front wheel thee days of torture trying to get axle out!! not wanting to hammer too hard in case of damage to forks I resorted to cutting axle with reciprocal saw. used kroil oil and heat gun and after few hours got remaining piece out of spacer. 63 for new axle from Italy new bearing and seals fitted today and back on road. fitted new mitchelins for first time just to see if they are better than pirrelis. no probs with Italian rubber but forum is getting good reports on grip and wear on mitchelins, will keep you posted

I'll bet you've made sure the axle is greased this time
I don't know how the Diavel will fare with Michelins but on the 1200 Multi I was getting up to 8,000 miles on a rear and a bit more on the front with PR4s

Hi Davy, we are well. I had hoped to get a run up you and Brian's direction this year sometime but circumstances just got in the way.

HI all , bike motd all was good, ran out of motion lotion after I got axle sorted, put original exhaust on for mot, now I have stuttering when quickly accelererating, last time at duc Glasgow warranty was out so left gpr exhaust on and bike was tuned with that on/ put it back on thinking that would sort it but no it did not| any thoughts?

Could be a number of things Davy, most likely one of the many engine sensors but I'd just be guessing if I pointed to any of them. Can you get it connected to Melcodiag and read off any DTC errors? Link here, scroll to the bottom of the page.
