I renewed anyway in January but I'm not aware of any official notification having been sent out. I do remember when asking about renewals at the AGM we were told that there was an issue with how Ducati were handling them.
This was in the Dec/Jan mail that I received on 1st January..

Thanks Mike, I'd missed that but going through it again I spotted it. And apologies to the committee for misrepresenting them, it seems I was just not looking properly.

Hi BeePee, You need to persevere. Contact Douglas directly by email. president @scottishducaticlub.org and also by pm on the forum. Unfortunately, it seems to be the case that Douglas doesn’t regularly monitor what’s being posted on DuN so you need to use an alternative method. Try posting on the Facebook page too, he seems to be interested in that. Good luck!

If he has paid it should be evident in the club's PayPal statements?

Just got a message from Kevlad to say that he received the 2019 pack which I sent him on Thursday. Sad to say, I still havenít received my 2020 pack which Douglas said would be sent to me. Why is that? Iím getting really cheesed off now! Confidence is at a very low ebb and Iím wondering if itís worth while renewing my membership next year, if I want this much hassle I can get it elsewhere for free. Why does everything have to be so hard to achieve? Why is communication with the President so difficult? Why am I bothering in the first place? In fact Douglas, if you havenít already sent me the pack, donít bother, Iíve just come to the conclusion that it isnít worth bothering about and that it would take a huge change in the way that the club is run for me to renew next year. To those committee members who care about the club I say thank you and wish you well, to those whose lack of action shows you donít care about THE CLUB only your own position in it, I hope you are removed from office soon.
Am I being petty about the non receipt of the membership pack? Maybe. However, the problem of poor leadership of the club is at the heart of it. Everyone says that they like constructive criticism so hereís my tuppence worth ď Buck up or buck off!Ē.

As one the original members at the clubs founding I find this very sad but this what happens when you have a committee who fail to communicate and lead the club as they were elected to do.

I agree Derek it is sad. Yes, when all’s said and done the pack itself is such a little thing in the grand scheme of things. But, if the club can’t get that simple thing right what sort of chaos is there going on with the important things like recruiting new members, keeping existing members interested, let us know what’s going on, setting goals for the club and committee and above all keeping the members and prospective members well informed by communicating with them using all means available. I genuinely hope it happens and look forward to the next newsletter which will, hopefully, contain at least some of that. All it needs is some leadership and a will to put in the hard work required to run the club effectively.
Before anyone suggests it, I have already been approached to put myself forward to join the committee. Unfortunately, I am already involved with a number of clubs and organising events and simply do not have the time I believe is required to be an effective member of another committee at this time. So please don’t !

    Default Thread re-opened

This thread was closed by a moderator who is on the SDC committee. I should point out that Ducati UpNorth is an open forum and as such the committee have no right to censor the content. If they feel that they are are being criticised they should deal with the problem, not try to suppress it. There is no room for Donald Trumps on DuN.

Just a quick note to say that my 2020 pack arrived today so I now have my pin badge and card. Yippee! If anyone hasn’t yet received theirs, I would advise them to contact Douglas either through the SDC Facebook page and by the email address on the monthly newsletter.

    Default Kits

Just to say that the Royal Mail service is clearly different in different parts of Scotland. It took from last Friday until yesterday for Paul's kit to get to him. It was posted at the same time as Ron's for example which got there the next day!
Teeny I will look into Russell's non Kit as that is an error. Sorry.

What we are also finding is that people are getting kits and not advising that they have received them.

That then involves further admin in mailing again to ask if they have been received.
As of now over 200 have been sent and received.

Any questions or queries please let us know.
    Thanks
    SDC Committee.

You are right Douglas. Mail deliveries are very variable just now, possibly due to Covid-19 issues. Who knows? But at least they have now been received and everybody, hopefully, is happy. And thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks for the update Douglas. Appreciated.

I've now completely given up using royal mail/parcel force for anything where possible these days during this situation.
I ordered items through eBay/Amazon from UK locations (Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester) and a week later ordered different items from different suppliers abroad (Germany).
The UK royal mail (paid extra for) items arrived two weeks after the foreign (free delivery) ones.
    Go figure.
