Default Ignitech ignition system on a bevel twin?

Contemplating this for a '79 900ss as I'm pretty sure I'm going the Ignitech route for my other Ducati ('92 900). Done a quick forum search and nothing's come up here. It does get mentioned in passing on the wider internet so folk have obviously done it but I'm unable to find much useful information. Anybody on here done this and if so, how did it (and does it) go? ANy info gratefully received. Cheers, Rob

Nearly 200 views and no replies. I appreciate that Sachse and De Witt are the usual suspects for aftermarket ignition on bevel twins but surely somebody must have personal experince of the Ignitech?

I've never heard of Ignitech and I'm on a lot of old bevel-head forums. I can vouch for Sachse. If you consider going this route, I took lots of pictures and have installation ideas that may be helpful to you.

I just looked at the website. It's really difficult to work out what equipment is for what bike and the FAQ will not translate to English. It's also not obvious what you are actually buying; is it a complete electronic ignition system?

It's been quite the thing to fit Ignitech to a '90s SS for a while and there is plenty of information about it. I never thought about fitting it to a bevel but why not?

Yup, that's my theory. It's def. been done on a bevel twin but I can find no further info beyond 'it works well'. Considered Sachse and De Witt but, for various reasons inc.the fact that I'll be fitting one to my 900sl it makes sense to me to try the Ignitech on the old girl as well.
Appreciate the replies chaps, particularly the link to ducati.ms

Lacey Ducati could be the ones to talk to. Big choice now it seems, one time it was Joe's Rita only just about.
