    Default Fake Ebay listings

Just a wee heads up, there's a whole lot of fake listings for Ducatis up on Ebay at the moment, they're showing as Glasgow area so will come up if you search by distance.
The same user (mcloone54) has over 700 bikes listed, 40 of them are Ducatis.

I've reported them so should be taken down soon.

This has been happening for some time now, even Italy last Week.
They load Hundreds up at the same time, this Week they have had three different names all with feedback.
I got so frustrated with it months ago I contacted ebay to see what they where doing about it.
Sadly not easily fixed, but they asked if i see one report it, ealier today they removed Hundreds only for the next load to come on al ost immediatly (Glasgow).
They told me they believe it to be proffessional compertiton hacking ebay for own Development.

I've reported dozens of Ducati's and M.V.'s all listed in the same format.

Some apparently hijacking legitimate ebay accounts - at least they can be easily reported with a few click now

This has been a problem for at least the two years that I've spent hours on-line to e bay - it is not just Ducati but all high end bikes and cars along with classic stuff.

The e bay id usually changes every few days and each listing is nearly two thousand items!

The one thing that identifies this is that the pictures contain contact details and have an unrealistic purchase price on the picture. The scammer is trying to lure a buyer into sending money to buy at a bargain price.

If you try to view the item you are told its in the uk but in a remote place.

I've given up with e bay as they have each time said that it would be stopped but their systems cannot stop this seemingly obvious fraud.

Buyer beware - e bay is a haven for this type of activity.

    Well done Phil.

Sadly, Gumtree and FB Marketplace are not too far behind.
