Known Issues

Fuel light comes on after 100 miles or less - The fuel tank light is a well documented issue on multistrada.net it seems that it is a design fault and no satisfactory solution has been found for this problem.

Bike runs out of fuel after fewer miles than expected - Because of the problem of the early warning fuel light many owners use the mileometer to judge their fuel stops, occasionally the bike can run out of fuel a lot sooner than expected. One of the possible causes is incorrect fuel filling ( take it slowly to prevent airlocks) but it might be the fuel tank breather is blocked. Thisis a small rubber grommet located inside the fuel cap, find a suitable pipe ( Bic pen worked for me) and blow down the breather to expel any water or petrol. I'd also recomend removing the black plastic breather box under the seat and making sure there is no water in that.
